"Wine Corner"

Some words on the 'Market Portugal Week 2012 "- Exhibition of Portuguese wines and gourmet foods in 2012.
The event was organized by AEP - Associação Empresarial Portugal.
The wine sector was represented by eight companies - Caves Messias, DJF Vinhos, Esporão, Herdade dos Grous, Ideal Drinks, Quinta do Pinto, Vallegre Vinhos do Porto e Wines & Winemakers by Saven,, who currently have no representatives to enter the Russian market . For this reason the ordinary visitor, no "buyer" or the importer, the event could be more interesting in two ways - meeting with indigenous Portuguese grapes and wines for specific examples of planning a trip to their homeland.
Regardless of views, we can say that the arrival of Portuguese wine in St. Petersburg is certainly a big event, especially since to find representatives of this country is not very common in Russia in general and St. Petersburg in particular.
Due to limited time, all that was offered in the Hall was a lot to know, despite everything tasted several samples of which would highlight:
DFJ Wines, Consensus 2006 - a very interesting mix of Pinot Noir and Touriga National average price range. Bright fruity but elegant, light pepper, balsamic notes of herbs. Structure silky. A good model for a pair of gastronomy. Given its price in the country, a very interesting option.
