SEGADA is one of the old names for CEIFA, the agricultural operation of cutting and harvesting grains. Our headquarters, Quinta da Fonte Bela, is in the center of one of the richest agricultural regions in Portugal, where cereals are also important. This is our tribute.

DFJ VINHOS single estates
Destemming, pelicular maceration and pressing. Cooled to 15ºC, the must passes by a vacuum filter with perlites. The fermentation is achieved through active dry yeasts, the temperature being controlled between 16ºC and 18ºC.
The wine is aged in bottle at least one month after bottling.
Segada is with Fernão Pires, Arinto and Chardonnay grapes. Because of that, it's perfumed, young and fresh and very refreshing. It has a touch of citrine fruits combined with tropical fruits. The intensity and persistence in the tasting reveals an excellent white wine.
It's excellent as aperitif and also complement of white meat and vegetarian dishes as well as spicier foods such as Indian or Chinese. We recommend to serve at the temperature of 8-10ºC.

ESCADA Reserva Douro red wine 2013 won the "PORTUGUESE WINE OF THE YEAR"
The Berliner Wine Trophy It is divided in two editions, this is the result of both conquered by DFJ:
DFJ won one Bronze medal and 11 Commended in the International Wine Challenge 2008 wine contest. The GRAND'ARTE ALVARINHO white 2007 won BRONZE MEDAL.
Consensus 2006 elected as one of the best
The Paxis Douro red 2005 won gold medal in the AWC 2008.
In London at the Decanter Wine Awards 2009, DFJ won 4 bronze medals and 10 Commended. The CASA DO LAGO white 2008 won BRONZE MEDAL.
DFJ won one Silver medal, 3 Bronze medals and 7 Commended inthe International Wine Challenge 2009 wine contest. The PATAMAR Reserva red 2007 won Silver Medal.
